One day I got a message from a woman that said “My husband just put six kittens in a box and put them out for the trash guys to pick up.”

We were able to get the kittens to the ranch safely and adopt out three of them.  The other three are still here to be our mousers!   We take extra caution with our cats, however, and bring them in at night to keep them safe from predators.   We taught them to recognize when we ring a bell that means they get some soft food!  That way, when the sun goes down, we can ring a bell and bring everyone inside to stay safe until the sun comes back up!
