Ralph was born to be dog hunting bait. He was let lose to be chased by dogs with human encouragement. His current house mate, Waddles was paralyzed as a tiny piglet by a dog attack.
Very early they learned fear and since, they both have been transformed by unconditional love from humans who were determined to change their story.
Waddles is fiercely protective of this little one, it’s almost as if he is having to learn to trust the world all over again. I’m sure a lot of parents feel that way, especially adoptive ones who are taking on babies who have been let down by the world like Ralph was before he was rescued.
Watching these two together gives us hope that the world isn’t all bad. That love and hope and kindness is winning, even in the places that it may not be easy.
Rubbing the bellies of these two little guys will help you remember that sometimes all you have to do is let someone love you and everything can change.
