Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee were our first two mallard ducks!  We named them Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee because, as precious as they both were, the only way we could tell them apart was (and is) that one was clearly a bit more intelligent then the other!   In the mornings they sometimes go for a quick flight around the property, although they don’t go too far because they know where the food is!  They usually make a couple of big circles around the property and then come in for a landing.  Tweedle Dee usually lands right back in the chicken/duck yard. (It’s probably ¼ of an acre so it’s a pretty big landing area!)  Tweedle Dumb, however, never quite hits her mark!!   She always ends up landing somewhere else on the property and then walking (or waddling) all the way back to the chicken/duck yard.   We try to keep an eye out for her so we can go open the gate because if she tries to fly over the fence we have to start the whole process over again!
