“ One day, I walked past the stall Sonny was in and said hi. From then on I grew a bond with him and was/is super calm but always added something fun. He is the best friend ever”

Sunny the miniature horse came to us in 2022. He was a companion to another horse that sadly passed away. He has had hoof issues for several years and was lonely by himself. We rescued him to be friends with Hantzel our older pony (sadly has passed away last year).

​

Sonny now has several best friends that he enjoys visits from and loves when the kids read to him. He has a goofy personality that brings a smile to anyone that visits.

​

He will always have hoof issues that we have to watch closely and has also been diagnosed with cushing syndrome. He is on daily medication for his hoofs and cushing syndrome. 

We are hopeful that we still have lots of time to snuggle with him.
