THEO
Theo has a cerebral disorder that prevents his brain from functioning the way a typical brain wood. During moments of emotional and low Theo has almost no control over his body. But I know he’s in there.
I know he’s screaming out.
“I love you I love you hold me pet me. I just wanna stand up and get to you…”
Do we go through this dance. And I get bumps and bruises and covered in poop and slobber and I just reassure him. And I squeeze the body that is failing him and I talk and comfort and give him time and remind him that I’m here and I know his heart. I’ll never stop fighting for his voice, or the voice of anyone else that needs me.
Because when you get to see it, hold it, feel it, help heal it.… it’s pure magic.
