High School & Middle School Reboot at the Rescue Night

March Miracles

Our monthly Reboot at the Rescue nights are back! These once a month events are a chance for your kid to enjoy parts of the rescue in a “behind the scenes” type of fashion. In the two hours your child will spend with us they will interact with animals, meet new friends, play games and create something to take home as a reminder of the social emotional lesson disguised as a cheesy metaphor.

For March we are going to dive deep into how sometimes the miracle that we are waiting for is already there, we just aren’t looking for it.

For example, take our sweet boy Champion, who when we rescued him in October of 2020 we truly believed the miracle would be seeing him run around with the other animals some day.

As time went on and it became clear that Champion would not regain use of his legs, it was easy to feel defeated. Until we opened our eyes and watched the miracle of his Mama, Patchula, going above and beyond to provide for her son, that to her, is absolutely perfect just how he is. The miracle was there and it has changed lives, it just didn’t look like what we hoped it would.

Bring your kids and let them stick around and learn about changing perspectives, and find miracles in the midst of the mess. This is a drop off event specifically designed for the different age groups if you have any questions email info@safeinaustin.org
