Harriet

Harriet came to us along with 15 other chickens that were suffering from malnutrition and skin problems.  We were told Harriet lost her beak to a predator through the wire of the coop she was kept in.   We keep a close eye on her to make sure she is getting a proper amount of food and water, but the loss of her beak doesn’t seem to slow her down any.   After a couple of months of quarantine and proper nutrition, Harriet and the rest of her friends all joined our current flock with a full body of beautiful feathers and healthy happy hearts!  People always ask us how she is able to eat.   We are not sure how, but she manages to peck at things just like her brothers and sisters!  We think she is awful unique!  I mean, have you ever seen a chicken with lips before?!
