Maya came from a family in Dallas.   They were also told she was a tea-cup mini pig.  Unfortunately, as is usually the case, she kept growing until she was too big to fit through their dog door (she was already 100 pounds or so at that time) and she had to find a new home.  They posted her on a farm animal rescue site right around the time we moved out to the ranch, and we decided Peter needed a piggy friend!
