We welcomed Midnight to the family at 8 weeks old. This little girl came to us dragging her back legs. We ran her to one of our trusted vets who is right down the road from us and got some x-rays. This time there was no obvious reason, so she did some acupuncture! Yay for no broken spine! It was a first time for us to see acupuncture on a cat, but her shelter records showed she has had success with it some so.... why not!
You would think a cat would freak out with needles randomly placed all over her but Midnight just laid there purring the entire time. It was pretty cool to watch!
We are just waiting and watching at this point! We’ll work on physical therapy and go back in for another treatment if we think it is helping! We now have five different spinal cord/trauma babies with minimal back leg function. Yikes!!
THANK YOU RESCUE SPONSORS!
All donations are put toward the costs involved in rescuing, rehabilitating, and long term care of the animals.

Thank you so much for all you do to help animals and humans alike. Knowing you are out there making such a difference makes the world just a bit brighter every day!
I'm donating in memory of my rescue cat Salem who we lost recently. Animals bring us unconditional love and acceptance and your rescue is able to give some of that back.

I have as many cats as my house will allow, so it's time to outsource! I believe, wholeheartedly, in the vision of Safe in Austin, and want to do my part to support this loving community.
I saw your episode on Queer Eye and just fell in love. My heart strings were pulled and I knew I had to do something. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you do. Jaime immediately reminded me of the woman in heaven in C.S Lewis's book "The Great Divorce"
Thank you for spreading love and joy in a world that so desperately needs it.
All the blessings!!
Not all angels reside in heaven.
Some walk the earth.. Just like you <3
Thank you for all the lives you all touch!
I just finished watching the new season of Queer Eye and first and foremost, you are an angel yourself. You are doing the work I wish I could do if I had the health to do it
You are changing lives and helping so many people and animals with your huge heart and vision.
I live too far in Canada to volunteer my time, but I can at least volunteer some money to help you through your endeavor so you can keep doing what I wish I could.
I also have 2 rescue cats and would not have wanted it any other way.
I hope you, your family and all the volunteers who help you stay healthy and safe and that you are all protected by millions of guardian angels for the work you do.
